Raymond L. Held
Co-Founding Director
Mr. Held, a Co-Founding Director of Abbott Capital Management, retired in 2009. Prior to co-founding Abbott in 1986, Mr. Held was Senior Vice President and Director of the Venture Capital Group of Manufacturers Hanover Investment Corporation. Before joining Manufacturers Hanover, he had been a securities analyst at several Wall Street firms and at Standard & Poor’s Corporation. Mr. Held received his B.A. in Economics from Queens College, his M.A. in Public Law & Government from Columbia University and his M.B.A. in Finance from New York University.

Stanley E. Pratt
Co-Founding Director
Mr. Pratt, a Co-Founding Director of Abbott Capital Management, retired in 2001. Prior to co-founding Abbott Capital in 1986, Mr. Pratt was Chairman of Venture Economics and was also the publisher and editor of Venture Capital Journal as well as editor of Pratt's Guide to Venture Capital Sources. A noted consultant and expert on the private equity industry, he has advised major corporations, government agencies and institutional investors throughout the world. Mr. Pratt spent two years in the U.S. Navy as a destroyer officer. He received his B.A. in English Literature from Brown University.
